We have executed TIGER/Line® 2000 Co-ordinate improvement Project for 33 Counties.
Within a span of one month we have realigned TIGER/LINE 2000 for 18 counties covering approximately 9700 sq.miles and consisting of 3,34,976 TIGER/LINE 2000 segments and 4,19,570 newly captured segments.
Technology to achieve a very high level of accuracy was developed over a period of 4 months.
All about the project :
This project entails realigning selected Census Bureau TIGER/Line® 2000 File data with geometric information extracted from imagery. To accomplish the project scope of work, ortho rectified ../images will be provided for the geographical areas in the project scope and the TIGER/Line® 2000 files data will also be made available for these same areas.

The imageries and the TIGER/LINE 2000 lines were given to execute the task. The tasks included :.
Aligning the TIGER/LINE 2000 segments to match with the given imagery
Rubber sheeting of non-visible features.
Capturing the visible features that are not existing in the given TIGER/LINE 2000 file.
Attribution of the segments as per the given specifications.
The deliverables are realigned TIGER/LINE 2000 segments and the newly captured lines in TIGER/LINE TYPE 1 and TYPE 2 formats and a METADATA text file as per the given specifications.
